Genesis

I am 24 years young and have played sports throughout my life. In highschool I polevaulted, did gymnastics, volleyball, tennis, soccer, I've recently run a marathon, anything that physically challenges me I like giving a shot. Before each year I make a bucketlist of goals. Some are random, such as juggling and riding a unicycle at the same time, to skydiving. This year I've accomplished all of my physical goals except for one, being able to throw down a dunk. I've gotten close enough to dunk only a couple of times in my life when I was most active and not long distance running. I ran a marathon a couple of months ago and needless to say I am skinny and have no power. I am 5'10" sitting at about 162 lbs at the moment with 5% body fat. My goal for this blog is to discuss my findings on how to improve one's vertical jump, hopefully my own.

I have just started to work out with weights again and realize that it is just about 3 months away from the year ending, or 3 months to improve my vert by 8 inches. I just took a full-body assessment to see where my starting base is, the only important thing is my vert to begin with is 32", I've always wanted at least a 40" vert so well see how it goes!
